Mick Boumans

My name is Mick Boumans. I'm 23, a construction site planner, and the founder/coach of ICONZ-COACHING, where we help people change their sports and lifestyle step by step. We approach this with a down-to-earth approach, using real food as the foundation and avoiding hype.

My story

Three years ago, I was done. I weighed 115 kilos, woke up tired every day, and it felt like my body and mind were fighting. That battle was in the little things. Needing three alarms to get out of bed. Quickly "checking my phone" on the construction stairs halfway to catch my breath. Driving home in the evening feeling like I was already drained before the next day even began.

I did what many people do: I started eating "healthy." My shopping cart looked neat. Cottage cheese, chicken, rice, shakes, protein bars. I paid attention to my macros: protein, carbs, fat, and the scale showed less, but my energy kept fluctuating. I felt bloated, sometimes had stomach aches, had no energy in the afternoon, and often burst on weekends. Then all I wanted was something easy "quickly." It felt like I was failing even though I was doing everything "right." At one point, I asked myself a simple question: how is it that I eat healthily and yet feel worse? I started reading, comparing labels, and writing down what I ate and how I felt afterward. That's how I discovered micronutrients: vitamins and minerals, the tiny building blocks your body literally runs on. That's when it clicked. My plate was full, but my body wasn't being nourished.

From that moment on, I turned things around. More attention to what my body needs. More color on my plate. Food your grandmother would recognize. Regularity instead of all-or-nothing. Short walks after dinner. Cooking more often. It wasn't a straight line, but I noticed the battle between mind and body lessening. I felt lighter, slept better, and felt the urge to exercise again. That was the beginning of real change.

Testimonial

My search led me to Beyuna. Not as an impulse, but as a conscious choice. I'm critical of the mainstream fitness and health industry, where marketing often speaks louder than results. I was looking for the opposite: clarity about what I'm taking, why I'm taking it, and what I can expect from it. No noise, no unnecessary additives, but an honest addition that fits my lifestyle and coaching style.
Beyuna immediately felt logical. It aligns with what I value: being able to transparently explain what's in a product, choosing quality, and working with something I can actually maintain in daily life. I also noticed that Beyuna's approach aligns with my vision: simple, consistent, and personal. In coaching, this means that I first work with someone to identify what's already going well and what their needs are, and then we add to it where it makes a difference for them. No long stories, just clear choices you can feel in your day.
What I appreciate about this is that it also removes the clutter from conversations. Instead of constantly searching for "something new," we can explore with clients: what are you doing, what are you feeling, what helps you move forward. This creates peace and maintains the focus on what works.

What I notice

Since making that choice, I've noticed a calmer, more stable energy throughout the day. I can concentrate better on my work, my mind is sharper, and I recover faster after workouts. It's not a magic wand. It's a clear, reliable difference that adds up week after week. The best part is the feeling that my body and mind are working together again instead of pushing against each other.

What my clients notice

It's not just me; my clients are noticing it too. More energy throughout the day, a clearer mind, and above all, a renewed enjoyment of exercise. One client was able to exercise without pain for the first time in a long time, even though worn-out knees had prevented them for years. Moments like these confirm to me that the whole picture is working out.

Where am I now & where do I want to go?

I've been at Beyuna for about three months now. I started as Earth and am now working purposefully towards the Neptune rank. What I love most is building a team with people I choose myself. Working with people who truly align with me energizes and delights me every day. At Beyuna, you can choose your own colleagues, which makes connecting extra valuable: you build together with people you trust and to whom you also have something to offer.

My motivation is simple and personal. I want to be able to take good care of the people who mean a lot to me, without being dependent on political influences. I want to be able to shape my own life in a way that feels good, now and for my future family. Healthy, stable, and with room to continue learning, exercising, and helping others.

I share what I learn along the way immediately. Through coaching, one-on-one conversations, and during "Know What You Eat" evenings. Always in clear language and with steps that everyone can take. That's what I'm working towards: a strong, honest community where people feel better, gain more control and help each other maintain that.
